Can anyone tell me what size these beasts are really supposed to be? A buddy and I just received our Old Glory 10mm ancients order and in it I had ordered a pack of elephants. When the order arrived the the pack containing these elephants was properly marked with the correct stock code and description but the elephants are so large the horses could pass under their belly. The howdah is the size of a two story building. It really appears to me that someone put 15mm elephants in a 10mm package. My buddy is contacting Old Glory about this but I just wanted to confirm that their elephants aren't really the size of the Mumakil from Lord of the Rings are they? |

Sorry, I don't know how I cross posted this to the ACW boards, unless I subconsciously wanted to prove that they really could hit an elephant from here

When I built my Indian and Successor armies for WMA I ended up using Magistar Militum's 10mm elephants(available here in the USA from Great Hall Games) as they were the correct size and heft. Others I tired from OG, AIM/Minifigs, etc., didn't look right. |

streetline: the leg is almost 3/4 of an inch long! Add some extra tusks and redo the howdah you'd only need Legolas swinging from his tail. Aegiscg47: I have Indian & Persian armies from Magister Militum in 10mm and I agree their elephants are good looking. Since an Indian elephant stands between 6 and 11 feet tall, their elephants are perfect. The Old Glory elephants stand the equivalent of over 20 feet tall not counting the howdah which almost doubles that height. I'm not going to be using Old Glory elephants and I would advise against any other 10mm gamer using them. |

I'm having the same size quandry, PrivateMatter
here is a quick photo of the OG and MM elephants with rider and an OG archer, and Pendraken Mounted guy and Spear for size comparisons (I don't have a ruler to put in as scale with me) I think these are the OG 10mm, 5 to a bag and I got two bags of them!
I'm still going to use the OG elephants, I'll just run them in seperate units
the sizes look a little too different to use them side by side
