Der Alte Fritz and I started an 1809 Napoleonic campaign in Spain/Portugal aka IBERIA. The above is Chapter 2. We think and hope you will enjoy and find it interesting.

I'm recruiting another brigade of redcoats as we speak so that we can stop the Duke of Damnation at the Duoro. I here the skrill of the pipes in the distance. evil grin. And also those rowdy Irishmen from Connaught and some Germans from Hanover.

Night photography in 1809!

Your group is truly inspirational and the Journal narrative is like reading a contemporary illustrated memoir.

Eight days after The Battle of Rio Minio, army returns for each side are posted below. Not exciting but necessary for each side as the future in planned. Some campaign gamers may find it of more interest.

ge2002bill…How do you work out movement on those Murat system Maps ?
I would love to have a real good copy of their Northern Italy maps to help some friends with a 1796-99 set of games.

Cher Runicus,
Jim and I kind of simply work out what seems logical or fits the needs of what is happening in the campaign. Originally I was going to move town by town because these are fairly evenly spaced with an adjustment for poor roads.

Having started in boardgames eons ago, I thought I had to move town by town or something. Now I don't think so because it restricts a good story for me.

Good luck,
Bill

Always impressed by the layouts you and your partners in crime put together!
