It appears interesting. Maybe some scenario fodder if nothing else. Somebody on here is working on cold weather "day after" survivors in 25mm. |

Zombies at least have the "rule" that they wander aimlessly around until they smell/see someone alive. Then they just move toward their next meal. Not sure I understand the concept of Reavers, or the like, being so crazed that they want to eat/mutilate/whatever the regular folks, but they can cooperate with each other perfectly well otherwise. |

I hate when a trailer tells me the whole movie. looks fun though! |

I'm looking forward to it :-) I hope they give a back story for the 'ragers'; I just watched The Day and it would have been nice to know why the world was the way it was. @79thPA You might be thinking of our growing range of 28mm cold weather civilians: miniaturemojo.co.uk PS: I like Bill Paxton though Aliens was something of a memorable high point. |

That is them. I didn't know they were available for sale yet. Some interesting stuff on the workbench; any idea when it will be available? Thanks. |

Cheers, 79thPA :-). If all goes according to plan everything presently in Workbench should be on sale by late April. That the movie is out in April is entirely coincidental as when we started this range we had no idea it was in production. Another coincidence of sorts is that zombie-like figures are the third range we will be adding, to go with a zombie expansion to our Scavenge Skirmish Survive rules. Back to the movie
.. Maybe I missed something but there seemed to be an absence of dogs – hunting, guarding, companion, food, etc. I am also looking forward to how the movie deals with the bigger picture – back story etc – which I hope has some plausibility (tho if not it still looks like a 'fun' movie). |

I've thought about doing a cold weather post-apocalypse game from time to time. A very long time ago, before Time Magazine scared everybody with the upcoming ice age story (the history of which is a perfect example of what happens when an eager reporter takes some crackpot's word and forgets to ask if it's ever been peer-reviewed) I read a science fiction novel about some people being exiled from a decadent city underneath a glacier and forced to track southward to warmer climes with fusion torches. Along the way they run into some neo-Neanderthals who are better suited to living in the cold. After seeing this, I might run a game with reavers now. |
