Axis and Allies 1914 is out and we played our first game last night.

I go into detail about some of the special mechanics and each game turn we played, along with pictures.

I heard about this game the other weekend at Wargames, LLC here in Nashville. Baxter was looking forward to having it in.
So it's good to have a peak at it and read a review. Thanks for posting it!

No problem. We got a couple of the rules incorrect and I definately named some of the territories wrong; but it's early, I hadn't had my coffee yet and I don't have the game at hand. lol.

In any case, it's a decent representation of the game. I've been advised some of the rules *in the rule book* are incorrect and have been/are being errata'd already, BUT, we played by what we saw. And of course, we missed some .. still, all in all, a good game!

Thanks for the review. Does it have any solo play possibilities?

I wouldnt say it has any more solo-play possibility than any other Axis and Allies variation out there. That is, little if any in my opinion.

I have played other A&A games solo, but to be honest it's tough to do when you know what the other side is planning!
