The picture on the web site of the combat car doesn't show the gun shields fitted nor the separate etched brass control panel fitted either. Soon as I can (on the basis of having a lot to asemble and paint for Salute) I'll show them with those items. Andy at Anisty told me today that he has a front page TMP annoucement with the Editor but it hasn't bubbled to the surface on the TMP front page yet so I thought I'd jump the gun! John T |

Ok – I'm assembling one of the new Combat Cars and have some pictures:
The control panel one is a bit fuzzy: sorry about that (it's a blow up to show how it folds up). The car has all of the brass cut for use. The back stowage rack is optional (and can be used on any vehicle). The best way to stick the shields in position on the tribarrels is to stick the guns in to their locating holes first (though the fit on the hole is tight enough that – if you want to paint them seperately – they'll probably hold in position temporarily via friction so you wot need glue) and then – with them held in position – super glue the shield, inserting it upwards under the gun body. The GZG Slammers crew fitted in the back is tight – as it should be (lots in the stories about them brushing shoulders back to back as the right and left gunners fire). As you can see there's lots of extra detail on this model but it can be left off if you don't want to use it I hope you like! John T |
