Because only in a science fiction universe are they economically viable!

Not really the place for a discussion on the pros and cons of green energy… Let's keep this civilized and hobby-centred, shall we?

Regardless of the real-world issues, I found that comment funny. Cheers, John!

Yep, funny! :)

To be fair, though, John isn't a very big fan of any post-Napoleonic technology. Windmills – oui! Wind turbines – non!

These wind turbines are already on my to-buy list for 6mm sci-fi games, to join my old Heljan nuke power plant. (Intended for HO, but easily rendered scale-neutral by covering up doors and windows.)

Picked up half a dozen packs of these from Hobby Lobby on sale for $6.00 USD each. They are just about perfect for any kind of Mars or colony style setup. I would suggest basing the windmills on a steel washer though. They are not the most stable model, and a bit of weight at the bottom really helps with that.

Adding the lego mini fig for scale comparison is priceless!

I had seen these last year at AC Moore and when I went back to get them they were all gone. I think they would be useful

I guess I need to hit Hobbytown, see if they have any in stock.
