Hello all. A while ago I posted some WIP pictures of a Ka-29 "Marine" helicopter conversion that I was doing for my 15mm Scifi figures. It's now complete and I have pictures over at my blog: link

Reminds me of a cucumber… grin

Are the landing gear as delicate as they look?

Looks like it'd be a great dedicated dropshop to go alongside Khurasan's Doe. Any chance of some pics with some 15mm miniatures?

The undercarriage is pretty flimsy. I'm expecting that it'll be the first casualty. At that point I'll probably look to add something suitable in metal, probably from a 1/72 aircraft detailing kit if I can find one that fits.

Its really looks great to me i also think that the nick names of the 'Pickle' is well suited. :)

Try ordering landing gear from a 40K Tau Devilfish. Several Ebay bits sellers make them available as well as thewarstore.com

Combat Wombat might have some useful bits too.

This is fantastic, looks like a Jolly Green Giant, though if i were a soldier i'd prolly call it "the Pickle" too:)

And thus it was forever known as the "Pickle"… grin

Honestly, I don't see that as any insult. It's a great bit of color that makes the vehicle seem more alive.

That's a great kitbash, Goober!

Now I want to buy and convert an Mi-8… Might be able to fit a small vehicle through the rear clamshell doors…

Ha! I was looking all over for one in the local shops to do a 15mm version of my 28mm kitbash (sorry about the pic, it was for a contest entry)

but had to resort to using a clearance Eurocopter EC145 in 1/72 with 1/100 A-10 ($10 total?)
