I have just finished putting together my newest revision of my grand tactical Napoleonic ruleset and will begin selling them @ $25 USD for anyone interested.

The OtE rules can be used for 6mm, 10mm, 15mm, or 25mm figures. They are a battalion based game with each player controlling at least a division but after learning the mechanics can easily control a corp.

The rules will be demoed at Spring Recruits in KC (April 5th and 6th) as well as Little Wars in Chicago (April 26th-28th).
If you would like to know more please feel free to contact me at kuski_14@hotmail.com

Note: I am working on a website that will include a forum, scenarios, links, and much more. I should be done with the website in the next month and will share that when it is completed.

Meanwhile, you might write up an entry for my Rules Directory project:

Will it be possible to purchase as a PDF?

When I get the website up it will be possible to purchase as a pdf but right now the file is much too large to email.

What makes these rules better to play than what is currently out there and there is a lot of them out there!

Well, I think that it is personal preference. A lot of games claim to have Napoleonic flavor/results yet get too bogged down in details to be fun. (unless you like that kind of thing.)
My rules are simple yet allow players to utilize the most important tactics of the day – maneuver and combined arms. I have seen/played many rulesets that just have lines of troops across the table from one another and it is more of a dice off than a Napoleonic battle.
Orders to Eagles (IMHO) feels like a Napoleonic battle when I play. Every game I have ran or played in I could write up an AAR that could have been compared to the historical AAR for the battle.
Of coarse a good game can be made bad by the people you play with or a bad game can be made fun by the people you play with.
If you can get out to Recruits or to Little Wars you could play the rules and make the determination for yourself.
Respectly,
Nick

Nick,

After playing the rules twice this past weekend I can concur that the rules are light enough for a novice Napoleonic player like myself to enjoy them but just crunchy enough to give the true student of the period the right flavor to make it feel right.

Several times I have read about battles that through the course of a day would seem lost but a refreshed unit or a rested reserve unit would come in and change the course of the battle in the end. I found this to be true as well in the game. I also like the unique system of tracking battlefield stress. I won't go into the details since that is what makes the game different in my opinion but suffice to say that is the game changer, so to speak.

I am definitely looking to get a copy and see if I can drive any interest down here in Austin.
