Looking to expand my Coastal Warfare gaming into the Black Sea – does anybody make 1/1200 Soviet Warships?

Yes they do. But what era are you looking for? I have a couple extra WWI BB's laying around I am going to get rid of.

I am particularly after Coastal craft, light escorts and DDs which served in the Black Seas Fleet, and a Cruiser for my E-boats and MAS to shoot at

I got LOTS but all in 1/600. Sorry!

Hi
I'm new here so please forgive me if you're aware of this.

There are a couple of forums for 1\1200 and 1\1250 collectors and links to dealers can be found here. This an American forum and there are mainly links to American dealers.

In Europe there are also a number of dealers (mainly in Germany)and I have bought from with no problems:

this one is almost a reference with lists of virtually every manufacturer and photos of many of the individual ships.

Paul,

I am doing the same thing. You have two choices as a gamer rather than a collector. Get really nice ships from companies like Hansea but it is going to cost you some cash or buy some figurehead/superior ships and paint them up to be russian. (A third option is what Murvihill did off e-bay but I am never lucky like that.)
I myself am doing a mixture of both; if you look at my polar sea post on my blog both of those russian DDs are actually german. I bought some Italian MAS boats that I will use as russian MTBs and dont forget the russians got PT boats from the US. I also bought some Tral minesweepers made by Hansea from Morningside hobbies.
Hope that helps!

Joe
