Quite interesting painting (from Del Prado Museum-Spain) were you can see the spanish infantry deploy after a landing.

"On July 26th, 1582 the French fleet at the command of Philippe Strozzi was defeated by the Spanish fleet commanded by one of our best sailors, Álvaro de Bazán. But that time the brave Spanish Admiral could not complete his great naval victory with the invasion of the island. So a year later was launched the fearsome spanis war machine of the Tercios, aboard the vessels of the Navy and after a smooth exemplary landing they defeated the French. The table shows the time of the landing of the Tercios using a large barge, the style of contemporary amphibious invasions and masterfully executed as seldom seen in the history"
