With the release of Wave 2 I've been able to fill all the slots in my Battle Foam trays!! Huzzah … I love the new miniatures (was lucky enough to get an A-Wing early from the Kessel Run tournament) … pictures of my fleets on my blog: link

Nice fleets !

I'm going to display my lack of knowledge of the Star Wars universe – was there more than one Slave-1 ?

CorSecEng01 Mar 2013 7:04 p.m. PST

There was a Slave-2 but it wasn't that ship. Different model. Slave-1 is a Firespray. There where plenty of Firesprays but only one Slace-1. Kinda like there where lots of YT-1300s but only one Falcon.

Yup, what CorSecEng said :-)

It is one of those ships where they rewrote canon to keep using it. The original story was that Slave 1 was the only surviving prototype, but decades later the manufacturer made more because of the legendary status of Slave 1.

Definitely time for another case then ^,^

Didn't Boba Fett also have a second Slave 1 that he used as a decoy in the Bounty Hunters Wars series? It was a long time ago when I read those books so I might be mistaken.

Nice!

Where do you store the rest if the game components and cards?

What's a good number to collect if I was to want to play with my sons, 6 and 8? 4 if each fighter and 2 each of the larger?

vojvoda02 Mar 2013 5:31 p.m. PST

My sons are older but I started them gaming about the same age as your boys. I would say 2-4 would be the most either should be able to handle. That said if they play against you how many can you handle? What about if they have friends over and you GM the game? I would say also that at their ages they are going to be influenced more by how cool a ship looks then in its point totals.

Jay,
That is an awesome fleet you have assembled. Good balance with lots of options and you could easily host a 10 player game with no problem. Good show old man!

Sounds great.

Jay,

How big of an area do you play on?

afilter03 Mar 2013 7:31 a.m. PST

Complete? With miniature gaming are our collections ever really complete?

Nice start though! :)

3x3 works fine on 100 point tournaments but I like more room to maneuver. I have a 6 by 6 mat, and a 6 by 12 felt play area for larger games. Most of the time the boys and I play on a 5 x 7 rug area in the family room.
