Anyone have any painted Akarr from Hydra Miniatures? Also what did you do for vehicles?
I am right now leaning towards using some Infinity Yaoxie Drones as they have nice curves and I think will blend well. But I'd still like some vehicles for them. I would like something along the lines of the John Carter movie I think. But am curious to if anyone else has come up with anything.

I haven't bought or painted them yet, but they are certainly on my list. :)

For vehicles, I'm thinking either the new Brigade PacFed:

Or the Old Crow Alien APC/MBT, once Jez reopens his shop:

They both have an otherworldly, high-tech feel to them. Or if you'd rather go the Barsoom route, what about these from Recrational Conflict?

I want to get hold of some of those Old Crow alien APCs when Jez gets the store back online. Any time frame on when that might be? I know he was busy with work or other projects, but I seem to remember reading something that said the store might be back in 2013 at some point.

Haven't seen a timeframe for opening the store yet, but he is taking some orders by email on the side.

I just can't personally justify hitting him up for anything when there are so many other unfinished projects sitting on my desk. :) If you want to get something right now, drop him a message. The worst he'll probably do is ask you to wait a few weeks longer than usual.

I got my Akarr today, they are very nice figures. Still trying to work out the vehicles.

I've contacted Jez with an order just waiting for him to reply – takes a little time since he's pretty busy, but his minis are sure worth it.

So I was at the craft store and I had a really random idea. For those fans of Nausicaa, I was thinking about building some of the flying Jars used by the Dorok (or Pejete), for those who have no idea what I am talking about, see below.

These could be done with simple Dowel Rod ends (I got 4 for $1.50 USD) That are big enough for one or two pilots. I just need to find a way to decorate them to make sure they look cool.

Mine are kinda like this. Just flip it over (they also make great jars for dressing your DnD dungeons, FYI as they have them in small sizes too)
