Just went to check on the Maveryc site to see if anything new was listed and the site is gone. Did something happen to the company. I was getting into the SPQORC figures so I hope not. |

It appears so, I just had received the extra orcs and halflings I ordered when I heard the company went poof. I'm hoping to hear they will be back in business soon. |

Isn't Dave toone the same guy who ran Miniature Design Studio? If he is MDS have just seemingly gone kaput could be related? |

MDS had some beautiful figures. Shame if they have gone as well, real shame. Correction – Caliver have bought up MDS Ancient figure ranges – brilliant news! See TMP link |

It is just so surprising. They just started production with the SPQORC range and then gone. Sad. |

Dampf with Caliver selling the box set does this mean Maveryc is still in business? |
dampfpanzerwagon | 26 Feb 2013 12:34 p.m. PST |
To MM – No, it just means that (as I see it) Caliver Books were the first retail stockist of the Pax Bochemannica boxed sets. Get them while you can as there is very little new news coming out from any of the obvious suspect as to what has happened. Maybe that 747 has hit them:) I have my box set still waiting to be painted up – I think the rules are fun and were worth the money. I am just not sure if there will be any more miniatures or rule extensions. I do know (because I have written them) that there are at least three scenarios due to be published on Orcs in the Webbe very soon. See; orcsinthewebbe.co.uk I will keep you updated on my Blog. Cost of setting up companies compared with sales are the real problem for many new ventures I suppose. I think folks at present are kidding theselves on if they expect completion of this range. Sculpters are a lot like many of us gamers in that they get excited re sculpting something and bored and distracted towards other things. The only way to get finished ranges are using and paying groups of sculpters to do a project. Perrys of course very different. This is just my opinion of course. It always pays to look at the history of company and previous ventures to guess if ranges will be complete. I dont buy now unless I see evidence of complete ranges. Of course ok if you only fillers to armies you already have. |

Good and valid points Colin, and something I now follow as a rule – if the range(s) look complete or going to be, then I will buy into them. |
