As I mentioned in my previous thread, I made a trip to the local Dollar Tree store this past weekend, and found some neat items for making some terrain. I had been wanting to make some primitive looking huts to represent Goblin houses for an upcoming scenario involving my 10mm Goblin forces, so I was keeping my eyes open for material I could use and this is what i came up with:

Plus this:

Equals this:

And with a coat of paint:

I'm really pleased with how these turned out, and they are quick and simple to make and I think they have a great primitve look.

Nice Job. I looked at the finished pic first and so nice was your work that I couldn't figure out what dollar store products you'd used.

Nice – but how sturdy do you think the seed pots will be ? (I like my stuff to last a lifetime if possible !)

Chris Palmer27 Feb 2013 4:37 a.m. PST

These seed pots are surprisingly sturdy. They are made of a stong pressed cardboard, not that crumbly stuff I've seen sometimes. For added support the huts could always be glued to a scenic base made from an old hotel key card or other plastic card or old CD/DVD disc.

Was able to find all this at a local Dollarama in Canada last night, just wasn't able to find the faceted Easter eggs you show in another post. But this will do nicely for a few projects.

Cool! Would love to see a photo of what you come up with.
