The is a good read on the tactics used by U-boats. Robert

"Folks,

The Submarine Commander's Handbook, ("U.Kdt.Hdb."), 1943 describes the submarine U-boat tactics of Nazi Germany. Note that this edition is from 1943 during which the Allies had effectively countered these tactics and the battle of the Atlantic turned in the Allies favour.

Yep, I concur it is a very useful and interesting publication, especially for the tactics used in searching for convoys in high seas, and in trying to avoid being spotted.
