It appears Zvezda are planning to release a modern Art of Tactic style game with useful hard plastic miniatures in 20mm, 15mm and 1/144th

Hmm, if they end up selling M1s, Bradleys, T80s and BTRs for the price they are flogging WW2 models for this could get interesting :) |

Bradleys and BTR80s in 15mm? Oh,happy day! I'll have those SF'd up in no time. |
VonTed | 23 Feb 2013 9:13 a.m. PST |

Confused by the multi scale. LOVE to do that era in 20mm someday. |

That Dushka look a bit souped up – a new model? |

A shame. Was hoping for some 1/144th scale IFVs and APCs. Doing three scales for one game is just silly. I suspect the marketing manager is overpaid, and doesn't have a clue about what gamers need, or want. |

Well, it's the third in a series, the first two being early WW2 and Samurai and they're specifically for Zvezda's own rule set which mixes the scales. WW2 follows the same format. I assume it's done well enough to justify this. And what's not to like about plastic BTRs, Bradleys etc? |

Doing three scales for one game is just silly. I suspect the marketing manager is overpaid, and doesn't have a clue about what gamers need, or want. Depends which "gamers" its aimed at – boardgamers or non-boardgamers. The fact that its a boardgame suggests the former, and I've not noticed that many boardgamers complain about the lack of consistent scale in the components of say Monopoly or Risk. I imagine the rationale is that the components need to be small enough to fit on the board whilst big enough not to be too fiddly/fragile/hard to identify – which means different scales for different things. |

It's not a Dushka, it's an NSV. All the best, John. |

Another blog post on the topic link If price and quality match the WWII stuff I've picked up I'll be very happy with sack full of BTR's. |

The abe looked kinda lame in their promo pics (the 3D-printers "levels" were clearly visible) – though, with the PPs 50-cal gunners with headswap, Im quite it would come out decently. But the BTR-80s production pic in their website, well, it kinda turned me on.
And the 1/144 Hind will look great as a air-support marker for my FoF games. |
