Amazing service. Ordered load of Republican Romans last Wednesday evening. Email from Keith same evening. Cast them and put them in the post Thursday and I got them Friday morning including command substitutions I asked for.

36 hours order to my door. Brilliant service Keith and great figures. Highly recommend Aventine Miniatures.

Ive got to get some Aventine….they always get high praise for their service, and people always paint them up so nicely.

I have ordered from Aventine several times and they have the proven ability to ship to the U.S. quickly and safely. Now, when they finish the archers and cav – I'll order more!

I totally agree with Legion 1950, they are a great company to deal with and fantastic miniatures!

I've directed two friends to Aventine now…….and their both buying armies : ( not fair !! I've got way too much to paint before I'm up for anything new : (

Yup, I've had the same service from Keith. I'm sure he sorted a problem in a matter of seconds as well (or thats how fast it seemed). If only the did figures I could match with my Greeks I'd happily put myself into more debt.

Without a doubt one of the finest companies/people to do business with. And the figures are georgeous!

Well finally got my thumb out of the proverbial and did a review for you with loads of pictures to drool over. Most of these are now prepped whilst I paint my existing Newline & Companian one's I've had for years

Good review – I did as you did with the spears, slight cut and then a small file did the trick.

Excellent figures and service from Aventine, my last order arrived in OZ in 8 days. That is a record that will be hard to beat.

My only comment to Keith was on the elephants' 5 piece howdah and was more to do with my clumsy figures and superglue that took sometime to set!

Lol – I almost glued myself up as well. The sculpted hands slighly too big for diameter of pila so had to hold in place longer with glue- forgot to say in review. No real issue. Except when finished had so many blobs of superglue on my fingers (Quite a few near misses at grafting a Roman onto me) would have made a good burglar as takes the fingerprints off.

8 days to down under is very good Garry. Glad you got them that quick. Just got to sort out painting on mine. Still finishing older Newlines etc. Will have to do WIP/post on them soon me thinks.

Pleased to say that Keith from Aventine has taken some of his valuable time to provide some feedback on the review and on Garry's Howdah point here

It's nice to know that people like Keith still exist who have such pride in their work and actually takes time to talk to his customers. Second big thumbs up

Hello all:

I am a bit of a noob in this department and would like to start collecting a Roman army, but could anyone answer some questions for me?

What is Warlord games period for thier Romans? I know it's EIR but is it from 25 BC to 191 BC or some other period?

How do they rank up next to Foundry's Romans? Does anyone have a comparison photo?

Thanks to everyone,
Jorge

And now we can enjoy the new archer figures! Adam has done a first rate job on these. I particularly like the new style spangenhelms on the eastern figures.
