I know of a number of books about allied escort vessels. Are there any works available about the Japanese escorts? I know there were a number of types, Shimushi, Etorofu, Mikura, Type C and Type D, but I want to find something that covers them all. Too much info on one or two monsters, but so little on the smaller working ships. |

Warships of the Imperial Japanese Navy, 1869 – 1945 covers them but there isn't much. A listing of ships and descriptions with a tiny bit on what happens to them. A few photos and some line drawings |

Maybe some old copies of Jane's will have something useful. |

Combined Fleet website is great and I have visited it quite often. If anything it has encouraged me to try to find out more. |
