Dear All,

picture

Please find a review of some of the QRF 15mm Post War British Range; the newly released Infantry with SLR, Chieftain STILLBREW, Ferret, Saladin, and Soviet SU25 FROGFOOT:

I know Geoff has been cursing the SLRs. Something about 'too bloody slender to cast properly' that I've been able to hear all the way over in the Western US.

Thinking I should pick up a couple Su25s, though. Poor Russkies need all the help they can get!

Yes, lovely model, and will look quite striking on the tabletop, if only cos of their size…

Hmm, I will highlight the SLR barrels to Chas. The main problem with the SLR is that it is long and thin. I can thicken it up, but they start to look like they are all carrying 25mm chain guns.

Interesting reading. I'm considering getting some Brits but need to decide on the beret colour – red or green? Well into QRF Cold War stuff at the moment – major delivery yesterday and finished a load of WG infantry today.

Beret colours are interesting. Guards Regiments and the Royal Anglians had khaki coloured berets, Light Infantry and RGJ had dark green, as well as Paras in Maroon and Royal Marines in sea green…

However I doubt that in WW3 there'd have been too much beret wearing going on….

Helmets on the way! Any requests for other figures? (LAW 66 and Sterling coming…!)

GPMGs in sustained fire role and Milans.

Finally received my beret clad squaddies, lovely figures, but the L1A1 is a little thin. I know the scale issue, but maybe exaggerating the thickness a bit would be beneficial.

Noted, thank you. The masters are better, so perhaps it is losing a little in the moulding/casting process. I will have a chat with Chas about it.

although the 'bum roll' is worn under the kidney pouches, as regulations demand, rather than above them as was the norm,/q>

Some should be above.

Sparker19 Feb 2013 9:47 p.m. PST

Oh yes, for sure!

GeoffQRF20 Feb 2013 12:18 a.m. PST

No, what I meant was, some of them do have bum rolls on top of the kidney packs.

Oh! I must have dipped out! Hopefully my order of the 'skin lid' chaps will have a good mix when they are done…
