I am dabbling just about, Daleks anmd etc, but I plan on one of these to be used in 6mm sci-fi games link |

I've got about 3 to 4 different 6mm Gruntz forces awaiting paint.I should really get around to finishing them so I can start my solo campaign.I'll put them on the top of the list for when I recover from my severe case of M.P.O. (aka Miniature Projects Overload) Nice to see 6mm get it's own board, It's a great little scale thats often overlooked for anything but mass battles. |

I use 6mm in my solo wargame and RPG campaign. All of my 6mm Sci-Fi I have thus far I acquired from Angel Barracks. link |

I used to have loads for playing Dirtside but sold it all a few years ago, getting tempted by Strike Legion to get me back into it again |

Sci-fi is the only genre that I have yet to switch over to 6mm. But, with the new stuff Angel Barracks is putting out, it'll be happening soon. No blog as of yet, but who knows

Thanks to AB's adventures with FUBAR, I appear to have a pile of 6mm sci fi and the latests AB releases. Funny how that happens. |
SteelonSand | 16 Feb 2013 8:18 a.m. PST |
The perfidious influence and irresistible example of Angel Barrack's Fubar adventures and own line of miniatures and scenics has me beginning to fall for SciFi in this scale

About 15 years ago I played a LOT of Dirtside II. About 10 years ago I built three opposing forces to play again, but nothing ever happened. I haven't found much besides GW and Privateer here in Sin City, there is an active historicals group that schedules stuff during my work hours lol! But my girls are of gaming age now, so maybe its time to pull the stuff out of boxes

Ive played 6mm SF for about 10 years. During that time Ive acquired so many armies that I am now trying to downsize. Angel Barracks recently got me going on FUBAR. Will stay with 6mm for skirmish and may go to 3mm for higher levels of organization. Sorry, no blog, no pics. Al |

We play a lot of 6mm here, both sci-fi and historical. We'll have a 6mm ACW game here tomorrow with a thousand troops, and a 4000 point Epic Armageddon game the following week. We're just trying out AB's KR-16 now and usually play 'Ogre' in 6mm. |

I dabble in 6mm sci-fi a little now and then, although, like yorkie01, I'm a scale heretic.

It's been a while but I'm a fan of Dirtside and EPIC
and Strike Legion looks like it presents some fun options. I've got a load of airships I was hoping to get started on this afternoon
not that I've any games on the boil. Like Pandabelly I've found Vegas to be a bit dry non-GW gaming since my usual opponent went off on sabbatical. |
sharkbait | 17 Feb 2013 1:10 p.m. PST |
I a mix of several manufacturers, including Plasmablast, Dark Realm, Micro World, GHQ, and soon to be on the way Angel Barracks. Using 5150:SA & FUBAR rules. I'll be giving AB's rules a try too. |
Paul S | 18 Feb 2013 2:40 a.m. PST |
Present – as Angel knows full well! I hate the way he opens my wallet :) Have 7 armies based for FWC (SM, Ork, Eldar, Kraytonian, Kharzi, Dalek, other) plus lots of scenary – see my first comment. Also am 6mm for Nap and WWII. Ancients are 10mm but thinking of going down! |
Rothgar | 18 Feb 2013 8:41 a.m. PST |
rothgarwb.blogspot.com Dirtside II, Command Horizon, Ogre, FWC, Mini Mech. I'm working on conventional forces to add to Mini Mech. I'm still looking for models to work as light mechs and heavies. I plan on using 6mm infantry for actual infantry at some point. |
stroezie | 18 Feb 2013 10:45 a.m. PST |
I've used my 25mm GZG OUDF power armor troopers as heavy mechs for 6mm. Behold the EGG-mech 3000
I don't have any pics of him next to my GZG not-VOTOMS but here's one next to some 15mm figs to give you an idea of the size.
I've actually been thinking of buying some of the other PA's to use as small mecha in my 15mm games. |
Johny Boy | 18 Feb 2013 4:28 p.m. PST |
Just started a PACfed 6mm force for adapted Gruntz, using Brigade models mini's, pics up as soon as I get past the prepping stage and start wielding paint. Prepping seems to be taking forever. |
Kealios | 18 Feb 2013 5:01 p.m. PST |
6mm fan here too. I have sold most, if not all, of my 28mm, though I still have some 15's for Gruntz. I play Epic: Armageddon, and have dabbled in Strike Legion, but it is overly complicated for what I wanted (as in, simplify just a few small things and it'd be damn near perfect). My blog doesnt have much 6mm on it yet :( |
kmahony111 | 18 Feb 2013 6:28 p.m. PST |
Another 6mm fan here. I've got some Brigade Pacfed, scratchbuilt buildings finished, and some RL tanks floating around to paint. Nothing on my website yet but I finished and army and terrain last year. I need to add some wall to my settlement and then they are done. I'll get them out and try Strike Legion and FWC and Dirtside.

Brilliant stuff Kmahony111
I particularly like your buildings and mine tunnel
they have a Gerry Anderson vibe to them. |

Any build pics, what did you use for the tanks with the tripod legs?, looking for something similar for a scratch build refinery. Outstanding sir, simply superb. |

@ kmahony111 Lovely stuff!! 6mm FWC for me.

I love 6mm Sci Fi, I have loads of Epic which I am selling off, it just does not do it for me any more. I have a good size Dark Realm Pax Arcadia army, which I intend to repaint. Not sure what rules to use, i would like a good but 'simple-ish' set. I played Iron Cow years ago and even adapted it a little. I have FWC but never played it, how does it play for combined ops battle groups? Hi to AB, loving his stuff, thanks for attending PAW Bunny |
stenicplus | 19 Feb 2013 4:09 p.m. PST |
Bunny, FWC is ideal for combined arms since there is always something to get you if you concentrate on one aspect. |

I'm also a big 6mm fan. I consider myself an "Army Builder", constantly adding new elements to my(as yet un-named) imagi-nation's force. I'm wanting to start adding a brown water/ littoral navy, and hoping to score some "Old Crow" brand boats soon. Otherwise, I plan to start scrachbuilding some naval units. My crazy army uses hardware from WW2 to SF( it allows me to play many different games
and it's sometimes fun to have a Char 2C trundle beside an Ogre Mk.5), with a great many sources. I don't have a blog yet, and I need a digital camera
but once I get one I will set up a blog featuring my army and as my general artist's blog with gallery. |

I too am an alc
.oops
.err
6mm gamer
..the sci fi project started in 2006 but re-booted thanks to Angel Barracks promo here
..I have been trickle feeding the 'habit' over the intervening years snapping up Ebay bargains for inclusion in my Hammers Slammers-esque 'verse
..running to 7 or 8 (need to recount!) factions or mercenary detachments- a mix of GZG, Brigade, Scotia and Irregular stuff -of course topped off with terrain and some vehicles from AB! My lead pile also includes Napoleaonic,ACW,WW2 and Modern 6mm goodies
.and some 1/300th destroyers for coastal actions
plus lots of aircraft too-WW1 to Modern via Korea and Vietnam
..now trying to resist the lure of the 1/300 star fighter types from Brigade among others
it won't last!! |

I play Warpath with GW and Exodus Wars figs (Infantry on stands of 5, damage with a small die next to it). Have platoons of Space Marines, Necrons, and Steel Legion, with Eldar on the way – but my Eldar tanks all got lost in the mail :( Also play 1/72 WWII and 10mm Kings of War (in Middle Earth). Pics: plasticorc.tumblr.com Located in Suzhou, China. |
greg954 | 21 Feb 2013 11:35 a.m. PST |
Oh and there's me I suppose. I play FUBAR or KR16 or a bit of both now, Skirmish stuff anyway. I use all sorts of manufacturers, GZG, Xmarx, AB, Hawke, SC, DRM, AB, etc
. I also include a little 10mm stuff too. |
Big Ian | 24 Feb 2013 11:30 a.m. PST |
Love 6mm, Dirtside II, EA, Hellfire, Fubar, AB rules and Hammers Slammers all great games and in a great size too ;-) |

KJdidit | 25 Feb 2013 8:35 a.m. PST |
I do a bit of 6mm (though have been drawn into 15mm due to the excellent ranges of models now available). The Strike Legion series is a given, but sometimes bust out Dirtside II for some variety, and am thinking about giving KR-16 a run-through in the near future. Armies? Yup: Dark Realm Andrayada, Kraytonians, and Skyth GW Chaos (and Necrons, using some interesting wares and Exodus Wars infantry) Plasmablast Progenitors and Orbital Combine Exodus wars human infantry and drop pods Microworld Games Foundationists and Dino-Riders Renegade Legion grav tanks and fighters Old Crow 6mm Slammers, naval GZG Kra'Vak, Phalon, small walkers, hovertanks, and grav bike infantry Brigade EuroFeds and Power Armor infantry (with PacFed forces in the mail, thanks to their recent sale) C-in-C 'generic' tanks, with some variants using Old Crow turrets, plus WWI aircraft GHQ WWII Russian, German, and British GHQ AIW Syrians and Egyptians GHQ Modern US, Soviet, and German Scotia WWI British, French, and German Microworld TEF is high on the want list, but I do have a few sample pieces. Don't get to play regular games often – once every other month or so – but do lots of playtesting using my 6mm toys. :) |

Love Kmahony111's mine especially and the colony is good too. Is the latter done on triangles to make it re-configurable? i am working on a refinery/power plant from a smoke alarm casing, but i must do a mine now i have seen this one. I mix together a lot of stuff form differnet manufacturers, although i have a lot of lead and only a few more or less complete armies. over the years my modelling has improved so i am more likely to strip or sell oloder armies and start again. My favourite army is a mix Adler Dark Star ranges with Epic Forge World Tau as IJN Marines. i also have armies more or less complete composed of Baccus (at the time Gladiator) alien centaur vehicles (used with Forge World Kroot). Some Scotia grav/ACV tanks with a mix of Gladiator human infantry. I hae also mixed in some Battletech tanks which can work very nicley as Superheavys if you pick the right ones. I would liove to show some pictures but my digital camera isnt really up to it. |

kmahony111 – love that mine, as was said a fantastic Gerry Anderson feel! 6mm addict. Started with Adeptus Titanicus as a kid, then got into Ogre followed by 6mm WWII. Sadly they were all effectively nicked by a 'friend' and I haven't built up the courage to start rebuilding. Gutted I missed the Waylnd games sell off of seeds of war. Have a habit of moving to countries with no wargamers so looking forward to Tom's Exodus wars making the transition to PC ( fracturedempire.net ) . I used to think bar spaceships there wasn't a period that couldn't be improved by using 6mm, but if FFG brings out a 6mm star destroyer maybe I will change my mind : ) |

I have 6mm figures for Ogre, lots of Battle Tec 6mm tanks and a large group of 6mm Hammers Slammers. I am eyeing the Neo-Soviets and South African Wheeled tanks from Brigade games for my next expansions. |
