I'm looking for games where 2 players can handle a few squadrons (8-16 ships) each and finish in around 2 hours, whilst retaining a decent period flavour. Games I have heard of (but not played): Signal Close Action (Fast Play?) Flying Colours (boardgame) It's Warm Work Form Line of Battle Fire as She Bears Kiss Me Hardy <-----I have this one, but have not tried it Trafalgar (GW) <---I have this, but find it a little "off" |

I enjoy Signal close action fast play, they give a good relatively quick game in my opinion |

I second It Is Warm Work. Started playing this set and it will meet your time and Game requirements. Of the ones you list that I played, it is the only one that fits your specifications. I also like Form Line Of Battle and Flying Colors. However, they would take more than two hours as combat charts are more detailed. I played Fire As She Bears, though somewhat less. It also takes more than two hours. I do not have experience with the others listed. |

I will third "It is Warm Work". We just tried it last night and I thought it was a great game. I wrote up a review here: link |
