Back in first edition, there was a set of modern (post-WWII) rules in the Command Decision family. Are there any modern rules for the current edition, or if not, plans to do so? |

The old ones were called Combined Arms. I don't believe they were ever "updated" as the WW2 rules went through their various iterations. |

Nothing official from TOB Games, but Bob Mackenzie has done sterling work

We've play tested the Modern Rules with Arab Israeli scenarios. They work well for that period. I can't vouch for the Nato/Warsaw Pact games. Joe Collins |

Frank Chadwick is slowly working on an Arab-Israeli supplement. I'm doing two 1973 war games at HMGS Little Wars in April using Bob's modifications. I'm sure NATO-WP would work too. |

I really enjoyed Combined Arms back in the day – now looking to pick up the new (no TO&E included) version of Test of Battle and use the stats that Bob and others have made for moderns – I have a big heap of Pico armor 3mm minis based up in platoons to use on my old army issued Dunn Kempf boards – some day want to do a double blind at one of the HMGS east conventions – probably Cold Wars |

Combined Arms were quick and easy many years ago we did a two day game using them with 20 6x4 tables and about 30 players plus video recce using an old video camera plus separate air table
In those days ( 90's) I don't think it would have been possible with any other ruleset |

Joe – can you post an AAR? Also some comments on how TOB-Modern plays.. Bobs work on expanding CD-TOB is truly impressive and I look forward to Frank C's Arab-Isreali work. |
