Hi

I'm writing a scenarios book with a brief intro about the war and designer's notes for rules adaptations. There will be 15 to 20 scenarios with photos, illustrations, maps OOBs and rules/game suggestions. I'm aiming at £20.00 GBP GBP,
$30.00 USD USD, €23.00 EUR EUR.

I need to know how many copies to print and what format do you prefer (spiral or stitch binding). Pre-orders will be available soon(ish).

OK folks, it's time to put your X mark on the contract. Those who are committed to buying a copy of the scenarios book please send email to: kingscarbine(at)gmail(dot)com

Cheers,

Nuno

It sounds very good, but a bit more information as to page count, format, colour, expected publication date &c. would be helpful.
If it's similar to John Fletcher's Liberators, then I'm interested.

I'll post more details as it develops but some test pages and cover will be uploaded today.

Looks interesting, whose rules are you looking at?

kingscarbine26 Feb 2013 4:52 p.m. PST

No specific rules but will have enough info to use your chosen set.

kingscarbine27 Feb 2013 6:01 a.m. PST

Hello all,

And thank you for your interest in the book. I've been working with the printer to make the best possible copies for gamers, within my budget and free-time.

We decided that the wiro/coil binding is the best option so I'm sending this message to know if people that requested the other binding option are still interested.

Work is still progressing and I hope to have all done by the end of the month/beginning of April.

There may be some design changes to the cover and pages but not too much from what I've shown.

Best Regards,

Nuno

Good. Any day you get to 'kill' Carlists is a good day!

sjwalker3819 Apr 2013 1:28 p.m. PST

Just received mine – excellent quality content, high production values – extremely good value for money.

Oh, and the packaging was incredibly robust – puts Amazon to shame.

Highly recommended – I'm hoping Nuno is tempted to produce some similar guides for other periods if he can match this quality.

kingscarbine21 Apr 2013 5:19 a.m. PST

Thank you Simon. I hope you find the book useful and enjoy the scenarios. Would like to have feedback to improve volume 2.

I had a great day at Salute and the chance to meet some of the guys from the group.

My next period guide will be for the Paraguayan War to support the upcoming range of my company Kingscarbine Miniatures.

Cheers

I'd love to order this however I'm not sure how far you are from the 50 required orders. Any thought go selling a PDF?

kingscarbine16 Apr 2014 4:27 p.m. PST

Hi,

I'm very far from that number but had some requests since Salute. It may take some time to reach that number. I'll see if there's a chance the book can be published by another company.

Tom Scott17 Apr 2014 6:51 p.m. PST

Didn't even know about this until today. Would've purchased…as I would purchase a Paraguayan Wars Book. Hope you eventually reprint (perhaps with a Paraguayan War book?)

sjwalker3818 Apr 2014 2:34 a.m. PST

Have you thought of using Kickstarter or similar to generate the required number of pre-orders for both books?

kingscarbine23 Apr 2014 11:31 a.m. PST

Hmmmm… Kickstarter may be a good option.

kingscarbine29 Apr 2014 8:51 a.m. PST

Hi,

I'm planning to republish the book as a Kickstarter project. It will take some time to get it ready but I plan to improve it a bit and finish the companion book that will include more scenarios and other useful stuff.

More news soonish.

Cheers,

Nuno

teper196122 Nov 2014 6:22 a.m. PST

any news on this new publication?

kingscarbine18 Mar 2016 3:29 p.m. PST

I'm working on the 2nd edition at the moment.

Can't go to Salute this year but hope to send the files to the printer in April.

There will be some changes and additions. A couple of scenarios and maps will be expanded but no major changes to the text.

I would like to continue the work on the second book "His Moment of Destiny" but have no time at the moment.

This will be the last print of "All Honour Is Lost" and there will be be two editions available.

The original wire-bound and a limited edition paperback.

The books will be available from the printer and/or from Caliver Books.

More news soon.

Best regards,

Nuno

kingscarbine18 May 2016 11:13 a.m. PST

Hi folks,

Just a heads up. I've just sent the files to the printer and we are working on it. We hope to have the books available in a couple of weeks.

The 2d edition will have a couple more maps, it's more organized and I've cleaned the text a bit. Hope it's a better version.

If all goes well I may release a follow up next year dedicated to the Gómez Expedition, the war in Catalonia, Aragon and Valencia, and other battles and skirmishes involving the French Legion and the Portuguese Auxiliary Division.

More news soon.

Cheers,

KC
