I think this may be a repeat. It's on tonight at 7pm and if it's the one i think it is, it will be worth watching.

Ok. Thanks

Don't feel bad, the US has plans for invading every country. It's what war planners do! Better to have any plan than no plan when the Bleeped text hits the Fan!

Mooseworks801 Feb 2013 7:22 a.m. PST

Don't the British have plans to retake Massachusetts? grin

elsyrsyn01 Feb 2013 7:23 a.m. PST

Don't we have plans to give it to them if they ask nicely?

Doug

John the OFM01 Feb 2013 7:42 a.m. PST

They can have New York and California too.

M C MonkeyDew01 Feb 2013 8:05 a.m. PST

..and DC.

Atomic Floozy01 Feb 2013 8:29 a.m. PST

We have plans? I mean outside of getting reelected & looting the national treasury for personal gain.

Only Warlock01 Feb 2013 9:07 a.m. PST

Technically the US Army has plans.

I don't think anyone in the Federal Government plans beyond "What Tie should I wear?" and "Where are my Dominican Prostitutes?"

Don't feel bad. They even have plans on invading the individual states if the succession idea ever takes hold.

Rudysnelson01 Feb 2013 9:12 a.m. PST

Back in the early 1980s, I served as the S4 for a MI battalion. You are right we had plans to invade every country including which units would be tasked for that operation.

I say we follow through. It has not been long since they refused to take back Piers Morgan.

We asked nicely and they refused. Force is justified.

Plus I'm still waiting for an apology for Marmite.

ancientsgamer01 Feb 2013 9:24 a.m. PST

I am all for ceding the above mentioned territories ;-) Actually, I think I would keep upstate areas of MA and NY and San Diego…. ;-) Oh, I think the central Valley in CA should be kept too…

Can we let either the U.K. or Canada have Detroit back too?

ancientsgamer01 Feb 2013 9:28 a.m. PST

Piers reminds people of why we had a revolution to begin with. If the populace would keep this in mind, I am for keeping him.

Phil Hall01 Feb 2013 9:54 a.m. PST

Nah. Let'em have the Old South.

Frederick Supporting Member of TMP01 Feb 2013 9:59 a.m. PST

Tell you what – Canada will trade Baffin Island for Detroit, southern California, New York and Massachusetts

I think you guys are getting the better deal!

"Don't we have plans to give it to them if they ask nicely?"

Nah, let's just put it in a paper bag, leave on their doorstep, set fire to it and ring the doorbell. Then run away laughing.

And my stifle count moves upward.

Pleaaaaaase don't give us back. Too many New Yorkers (in all parts of the state) have fought and in some cases died in defense of this country since.. well, since we've had a country (if you're ever in Saratoga visit the NY State Military Museum). In our region you can find countless plaques and monuments to those who fought in the Revolutionary,Civil and Spanish American Wars. Virtually every town has a place of honor for those who fought in the World Wars, Korea and Vietnam. Check out our local newspaper archieves for the last decade and you'll find the stories as well as obituaries of men and women from the Lower Hudson Valley who served in Iraq and Afganistan. If they were still around I'm sure my dad and three uncles, all WW2 vets, would also take exception to what was said.I know most of the comments were all in fun, but they just hit a nerve today.

Let the Brits take over-fifteen minutes later we'll have a new Revolution and a new Constitution. Right after they make us drive on the other side of the road…

emckinney01 Feb 2013 12:58 p.m. PST

> They even have plans on invading the individual states if the succession idea ever takes hold.

If you spell it like that, you're welcome to leave.

altfritz01 Feb 2013 3:06 p.m. PST

I hear they've been holding Tea Parties for the last few years, apparently in anticipation of the UK regaining it's colonies.

I'm not worried, I hear that our borders are the Strongest they have ever been.

anleiher01 Feb 2013 8:05 p.m. PST

Let's not become over wrought here. This is really just a ploy to induce the Brits to burn DC again like they did the last time we fought.

What's wrong with that?

bsrlee02 Feb 2013 12:46 a.m. PST

Just remember, if you invade Canada they may just give you the Quebecouis & Quebec. And refuse to take them back.

doug redshirt02 Feb 2013 12:59 a.m. PST

Can we give Texas back as a good will gesture, plus it gets rid of the Cowboys.

GarrisonMiniatures02 Feb 2013 2:53 a.m. PST

'And my stifle count moves upward.'

Mine goes up every time I use the word 'America' in a post.

Whoops!

Some guys in the Army are told to dig holes and fill them up again, move a pile of rocks from point A to point B and then move them back again, and some paper-pushers get tasked with writing plans to conquer countries all over the planet and every other planet in the solar system. None of it means a thing, it's just make-work schemes to keep working the underlings stupid or justifying some middle-manager's job.
