A dark "pitch-stained" sort of look? Or, a lighter "fresh-cut timber look" that's been recently varnished? The little skiff Eric in The Vikings was building for Lord Egbert was of the lighter "fresh-cut timber look." Hmm, anyone besides me ever wonder why they never really explain why in the film Egbert needed a skiff?? Anyway, all the long-ships on the other hand seemed to me to be "colored" more of a dark "pitch-stained" sort of look? |
