What strikes me about this is that, even with a presumably externally-mounted video camera giving you a much better view than the crew of the BMP have, you can't see much of anything: bunch of shattered vacant buildings, dust. Put a few rounds in there, take off at speed.

It's interesting that the BMP seems to do much of the firing with its 30mm cannon, and that it does not seem that the BMP dismounts any infantry to protect the AFVs while they fire. I kept waiting for the RPG hit.

Thanks for posting; some very interesting video coming out o f Syria recently.

First-person views of driving through war-torn cities make me REALLY ANXIOUS. I had to review hours of IED attack footage on a previous project and I think I have some really mild PTSD from that. I see that POV and I'm just waiting for someone to blow up. :(

I've noticed in other footage, the BMP's literally burying their rear end into the buildings. Is this to drop off infantry to secure its flanks, or provide additional cover, using interior rubble?

It's one of those things the Syrians are learning the hard way. "Do not send Armor in to a Built-Up area with out Dismounted Infantry"

This is very good reading.

Yes, I've seen footage of Syrians and even Turks[who are NATO and should know better!] sending MBT in MOUT without Infantry support. It cost them …
