This fleet was originally built for use with Firestorm Armada but with the changes in V2 we decided to go back to playing Full Thrust instead. The model collection is a fair bit larger but I dont have enough bases as yet to mount them all. The rest are on back order :( but I thought I would post some pictures anyway. The manufactures of the models are Ravenstar Studios, Timeslip Creations, and Federation Models. The bases are from Corsec Engineering as is the matt they are all sitting on. For scale/size comparisons, the vipers are mounted on Games Workshop 25mm figure bases.
Any and all comments welcome. anyone that would like a copy of the stat cards (SSDs) for these, let me know. |

Jim, Would like a copy of the SSD's please! Happen to have an FT SSD on that really cool NOT-B5 station you sent me pics of last summer, from the game you ran at Bayou Wars in June? Missed making that con but you sent me a couple of pics of that station. the drake 70458 at yahoo dot com Thx, Mark |

Love the paint jobs on your Galactica ships! |

Excellent. Good call on the clear bases with black stems, it works really well, and makes the bases very unobtrusive. |

Thanks all ! Mark, SSDs are sent. We'll be at Bayou Wars again this year. Im thinking of doing a similar scenario as the last two years but with the FT rules in place of Firestorm Armada. We're still play-testing it. As for playtesting this fleet? Only a couple games so far. Last was against an Imperial Fleet from Battlefleet Gothic. The game was a disaster for the colonials although they did manage to gut an Imperial Dauntless light cruiser. The Valkyrie class battlestar was completely destroyed.

Those do look superb, as does your playmat, bases, etc. I also like the way you've got your fighter bases color-coded by squadrons/wings/vessels. Any chance you can post the SSD's to the BSG Yahoo Group? I know I'd like to see them, and suspect a lot of other people there would too. |
jimklein1966 | 26 Jan 2013 5:07 p.m. PST |
I didnt know there was such a group. I will look for it. thanks! |
jimklein1966 | 26 Jan 2013 5:13 p.m. PST |
Can you post the link for the group? I did a group search for BSG and came up with a bunch of stuff. |
Mako11 | 26 Jan 2013 5:30 p.m. PST |
Here's the link: link IIRC, you have to apply for getting in the group, to keep spammers and spambots out, but once you're approved you can post your stuff in the Files section. |
jimklein1966 | 26 Jan 2013 5:48 p.m. PST |
Application sent, thanks :) |

thedrake | 26 Jan 2013 10:30 p.m. PST |
Jim, Thanks for the SSD's. Please let me know what day you will be running the FT game at Bayou Wars so can make sure to take off work to come play in it. Mark |
jimklein1966 | 27 Jan 2013 4:13 p.m. PST |
Posted the stats to the BSG group. The Stats for the Galactica and Mercury class are courtesy of Star Ranger of Starship Combat news. The rest are ours. Raptoruk369 – I send you a copy to your email. Mark- the preliminary plan for Bayou Wars is to run the game on saturday afternoon. Not sure what scenario exactly were going to do yet. It will either be a redo of the Ressurection ship battle with the FT rules or something totally different. |

Thank you very much. Most of what i do uses an airbrush followed by weathering powders, some by Mig others by Tamiya. I can write up a toutorial easily enough but if you dont have an airbrush im not sure how useful it would be. Let me know and i'll write up something this week. If you get a chance to playtest any of those SSDs let me know how it goes. I'd be very interested to hear abt other players expiriences w them. Thanks again!!! |
Mako11 | 27 Jan 2013 7:18 p.m. PST |
Thanks for posting them to the BSG Yahoo Group. I will check them out soon. |

Lovely old BFG models and a nice battlecruiser conversion, if I do say so myself. ;) |

Mixed TOS and revisualized BSG vs. BFG? Crazy, indeed! Thanks for the look, and repeated-from-elsewhere thanks for your sharing all over the place! ;->= Doug |

Great looking fleet. Not to hijack the thread, but here are some SDDs I made a while back (round about season 2.5): link
I wrote the backstory for this one before Razor came out
either I was precient, or it was an incredibly obvious plot line
Feel free to borrow if they are of any use. |

Jim, Just saw this thread. Your BSG fleet is Amazing! I thought my BSG Titanium fleet was awesome until I saw this. Well done! Any chance i could get the SSDs as well? |
jimklein1966 | 02 Mar 2013 6:12 p.m. PST |
Don- post an email addy and i'll be glad to send them. |
Ghostrunner | 02 Mar 2013 11:06 p.m. PST |
If you want to post the rest of the SSDs from my photobucket page above, that's OK. For what it's worth, though, the stats and graphics for the Columbia/Galactica and Mercury were ones that I came up with. Star Ranger's site was the first place I posted them. link |

Jim, don.leggett@gmail.com Thanks for the assist. |
jimklein1966 | 03 Mar 2013 8:04 p.m. PST |
Don- email on the way. Ghostrunner- awesome stuff as always. Im going to borrow some of your designs, especially the Berserk. I didn't know it carried Raptors. Where did you find info on that ship? |
Ghostrunner | 04 Mar 2013 8:06 a.m. PST |
The background on the Berserk was strictly my own invention. The class definitely looked like it had a different function than the other Battlestars, so it seemed logical that be the 'Marine Landing Ship' to complement the Battlestars (the CV/BB of the fleet). Since then, I've seen some comments on a few other sites that the Berserk was intended by the designer as a light Battlestar. He included Viper launch tubes along the sides, but only a single landing bay along the ventral center line. |
TheBeast | 04 Mar 2013 9:24 a.m. PST |
The background on the Berserk was strictly my own invention. And I REALLY like it! I'll plan on calling it an 'assaultstar' variant, if it ever comes up. Doug |
jimklein1966 | 04 Mar 2013 9:36 a.m. PST |
Nice. Im still searching for suitable large size model in scal with the Pegasus and galactica. |

Hi Jim, I could not find your SSD's at the BSG group, folder seems empty. Could you pls send them to me at following email: herc.warrior@gmail.com Thank you. |
TheBeast | 14 Apr 2013 7:14 a.m. PST |
@Urban Warrior I don't think that was the only folder that happened to; Jim's PDF is still in the Full Thrust group Files section, if you happen to be a member of that, as well. Doug |
jimklein1966 | 14 Apr 2013 7:41 a.m. PST |
I deleted them out of that folder because I have been updating them. Most have been play-tested are ready to go back into that folder. I also sent you a PDF of them. Let me know what you think! :) |

Whoa! Amazing fleet, both the miniatures and the paint jobs. I have to admit, I was unaware there were sufficent minis for BSG available to actually produce viable gaming fleets. As a dedicated "space ship" gamer, I may have to look into this
|
jimklein1966 | 26 Apr 2013 9:34 p.m. PST |
Thanks! Take alook at Ravenstar Studios and Federation Models. Great sources for models like these. |

I have more than a few Hanger18Fasa ships as well. Hunting BSG? It's a 'target rich environment'! Happy days! Doug |
