Anyone throw a camouflage reference for this particular aircraft ? Wings Palette has two Js but not for the unit in question. Default will be black if I can't find anything interesting to paint. |

Google Images is your friend: link Can't vouch for any authenticity, but since some look like the He-219 and Ju-88 camo of the period, I imagine it stands to reason those might have been used on the Do-217 as well, when they switched from black. Of course, now you've gone and done it, since I'll be wanting a nice Do-217K NF (never seen one of those before, but it looks very nice), and the four-engined, Do-217 bomber too. |

Drawn a blank I'm afraid – I can only find a couple of images of Do-215s (actually probably the same one) in NGJ 2, no 217s. Even my stalwart "Luftwaffe Colours: Nachtjager" draws a blank, with just NJG 4 machines. (FWIW they're a "hard" splinter pattern of RLM 74 and 75, with undersides and spinners in RLM 76.) Dom. |
