These are a great source of ideas. Thanks for posting this link Armand.

Whom is a source for the doormats he uses in the US? I have looked at Lowes and Home Depot, neither which carry them. Both no longer stock pink insulation foam, either, at least in my part of California.

I found one door mat at my local Ross's Discount store. Trouble is most have a printed design on the mat. Plain are tough to find. Paid less than $10 USD, so not a bad deal.

Good post. I've got something to go shopping for now.

Those floor mats are the one reason I go shopping at Ikea.

Same question for me (blog says he uses hardboard) – I'll post same question on Silver Whistle's blog.

Fuebalashi Dakasonomichi02 Feb 2013 8:42 a.m. PST

Looks like hardboard, mottled side up.

Muncehead02 Feb 2013 2:40 p.m. PST

Yes Pat tells me it's hardboard, must get some at B&Q tomorrow. Minimal warping apparently and painting a layer of PVA on the underside will reduce that too.

Lovely results and good man Armand for flagging this one up.
