Hi, As a change from painting and gaming in 10mm I've decided to put together a 28mm Medieval army from around the time of Magna Carta.Ive also decided to put it together using only plastic miniatures. So to help me keep to some type of time table I've started a Blog to show the photos and progress. Here,s the link for those who wish to have a look. link Any thoughts, advise and comments on the project would be most welcome. Be they good, bad or indifferent. Jason. |

Looks good so far, I like it when people paint real heraldry – I'm a bit slack that way. What are you going to do about archers/crossbows? IIRC there aren't any in plastic yet. |

Search through plasticsoldierreview.com, for figures. They claim to be 1/72 scale, but they vary widely. Some manufacturers' figures are closer to 25-28mm tall. They vary widely. You might find some crossbowmen either in 25mm, or even 28mm. Cheers! |

Many of the Crusades period figures from Fireforge would be suitable (or close enough.) link |

Jason, Does it feel strange, after painting so many hundreds of 10mm, to be working in "monsterous" 28mm? Nice work! And as I 28mm guy, I very much admire your 10mm trove! Best, Wade |

Nice! They look great in the more colourful heraldry. |

Thanks for the comments chaps:-) @Alex Kulic and adster, Im using mainly the FireForge plastics so mounted, foot and crossbow covered there. As for the Archers Im looking at going to with the latest GW Bretonnian peasant archers, they look feudal enough to fit the period with a little conversion. @Dilettante Gamer, yep over the last 10 years its been 10mm or 6mm with the odd foray into 28's so putting a full 28mm army together is a bit odd, a unit will take weeks/months instead of hours/days.
