I've done a quick review of some flags I just received from Adolfo Ramos. You can see the pictures and read the review on my blog –

I've found these flags to be excellent in quality and the final product I received is top quality.

Thanks for the review, I emailed Adolfo for some dimensions of certain flags and he was very helpful with getting the info back to me. I will probably be placing an order for some French & Prussian cavalry standards in the near future. They do look very nice and I would put them on par with GMB, hopefully they hold up as well as GMB.

Very nice for 18th Cent. and they look like Flag Dude's flags….nice find.

I recently purchased a few for some Napoleonic Swiss (in Spanish service) and the Walloon Guards.

I found the colours to be nice and vibrant without being over the top, and the size to be roughly comparable with (albeit a few millimetres smaller than) my existing GMB flags.

Adolfo was very quick – he replied to both of my queries within hours, and had the order in the post in a similar time frame. He even threw in a couple of additional British flags which were equally as good.

I'd thoroughly recommend them, and your review is very useful as I had no idea that the the "complete" flag was available (unless that is for SYW only – I must have another look).

Yeah, he makes nice flags. You can see some installed on my Dutch WSS units on my blog: link

I wish he'd make more for the WSS.

I did not buy them completely assembled but they look nice like that.

They look really nice. I use Maverick, so would be interested in seeing a "side by side" – but I love the cords, tassels and finials – I really must make some up for my units.

And lovely blog by the way.

I'll work on doing a side-by-side comparison but it will be with the flags on the units. Good idea.

Does anyone know if he is open to taking requests for flags not yet produced? I am particularly interested in the AWI ranges.

I would go to his site and contact him directly. I can't speak for him but all you can do is ask.

I've used loads of Adolfo's flags for my First Carlist War armies. He's very easy to deal with and very quick, and he does all kind of interesting things (including some AWI flags that I haven't seen anyone else do). The flags themselves are excellent, definitely up to GMB standard and with vibrant colours. Highly recommended.
