Just completed a wonderful musician model from Relic for my Carthaginian army.

Jon,

Reaper master series paints has a drying retarder and a flow improver. By adding one or both of these to your paint, will make your lines flow more parallel and less blotchy. Also very good for dotting eye balls, where a bit of paint on the brush will dry out before you can dot the first eye.

The 'drying retarder' is especially handy for (dare I say it for ancients?)… 'blending'!

Cheers,

Mike
