I've just finished an Early Carthaginian army for DBA. Mostly Xyston and Corvus Belli figures, with a few comparatively small Magister Militum ones thrown in. Writeup, with a link to the more detailed army page is here: link |

A very smart army. Love the 'camp' vignette (but can't help feeling you might be jinxing yourself by depicting the general lighting his own funeral pyre! )
Thanks Phil PS it is well worth following the link on the above page for more of the backstory |

very nice
How did the Xyston figures look with your Corvus figures size wise? No issues? |

Must Carthage be destroyed? If you raise a nice army like that, then expect the Romans to do just that
or die trying. Nice looking figures! |

@Yesthatphil: I look upon it as a 'pour encourager les autres' sort of thing ;) @Dervel: From a distance they look fine. The Xyston figures are about a mm taller, but most of that is in the thickness of the base (and their helmets are a trifle pointier). A little styrene sheet underneath the CB figures would probably make it so the difference is not noticeable at all. |
