Thorkell the Tall, although knowing the Norse fondness for a joke, he could have been a shorty
link or possibly one of Starkadder's kin, as he was descended from jotuns (giants) link or you could take a look at these jotun names link |

Im using "Stoic the Vast" for my Viking warlord. The name is from the movie How to train your Dragon, which Ive just seen on TV, and is rather funny. |

Nice figure, though does not quite look like a historical Viking. Considering his size, perhaps his companions could call him by the nickname "Jotunn" (Viking term for a giant). |

Ølaf Grøssebaf?
which is a French joke, as "une grosse baffe" means a hard blow in the face. It's the name of a Viking chief in one book of "Asterix the Gaul":
Your ordi probably can type an Ø too, it's something to do with "alt" and 0, my Mac French keyboard can do it but I've no idea how it really should be used in any language. |

The Viking Answer Lady's Website has a section on Viking names here: link It explains what the various components mean, and you might be able to take a name that sounds fun in English and create a Norse version of it. I see they already list Barkr as a Viking name. Grelber |
