Im using "Stoic the Vast" for my Viking warlord. The name is from the movie How to train your Dragon, which Ive just seen on TV, and is rather funny.

Ølaf Grøssebaf? …which is a French joke, as "une grosse baffe" means a hard blow in the face. It's the name of a Viking chief in one book of "Asterix the Gaul": …Your ordi probably can type an Ø too, it's something to do with "alt" and 0, my Mac French keyboard can do it but I've no idea how it really should be used in any language.

The Viking Answer Lady's Website has a section on Viking names here: link It explains what the various components mean, and you might be able to take a name that sounds fun in English and create a Norse version of it. I see they already list Barkr as a Viking name. Grelber
