Did a repaint of some very cheap Marder Ms for Flames of War. I think they came out rather well (the odd greyish-white spots are a trick of the light). More info (and bigger pics) here: link

I picked up a few French and German armored cars for cheap
. still need to finish painting however. A great alternative if you are not a miniature snob :) |

The newer vehicles are 15mm, the older ones closer to 1/144. The guns and infantry even in the newer sets are variable scale. |

Any of the Axis & Allies vehicles that came in the later sets are about dead on for 15mm. A&A Infantry is pretty exact to. The guns though even in the lkater sets seem smaller than they should. I have a buddy who got 21 A&A AMD-178 Panhards all for less than $1 USD each. Hes used that as the basis for a French Recon Company. |
