A pic. Next step is a digital camera that is not as old as my daughter.

Thanks for posting about your beautiful models, incredible paint job. However I can't let you comment about modern sculpts lacking dynamism go without comment… Although I don't dare compare my paintwork with yours, I would argue that these Eureka Saxon cavalry are at least as dynamic as the Connisseur sculpts:

Of course these are the Zastrow Cuirassiere, but Eureka's Garde de Korps are similarly posed!

It was more a matter of sculpts in general rather than the Garde du Corp models specifically. I too like those Eureka ones and was thinking of using them for my Leib Kurassier Garde.

Thanks for that comment on my painting but I would rate it about 6-7 out of 10 on a good day. I would rate yours higher :)

Love your blog by the way – bookmarked.

I paint for the table top, not a wargame mag so I am pretty happy with them on the whole. Glad you like them, mate.

Brian,
Great paint-job! I'm painting my Saxon Heavy Horse this weekend (in my case the humble plastic Strelets), so thanks for the inspiration.

Sparker,
Absolutely fantastic blog! Now I know why you are the most stifled amongst us…Blog envy!

You know those 1/72 plastics are, with a few exceptions, the most beautiful little miniatures – great crisp detail and so many choices as to period – not to mention cheap as chips. I would love to see your Garde du Corps once they are finished.

I was thinking of moving to them to do ACW I like them so much.
