link To hell with your fluff, tell me a story with your miniatures. Let's face it, fluff is huge part of the draw to a game and should not be underestimated; when it comes time to play a game, what is more important the fluff or the visually striking miniatures that grace the gaming table. There is only so much you can do with a base box set of miniatures before they start looking homogeneous. I love making special characters, miniatures that represent a scene or action, miniatures that tell a story through their pose or actions. With this in mind I created the Stormtrooper accessory set. This kit contains a massive number of parts, packs, pouches, accessories, heads, arms, hands and equipment so that you can tell your personal story and unlock your creative genius.
Here are just a few examples of what can be done. Granted I will not win any modeling or hobby awards with what is featured here, my lack of cleanup and exuberant use of glue keep these from being show pieces, but this shows what can be achieved in just a few hours with only a moderate level of care. Each of these custom figures used the arms, and hands from the accessory set to create unique figures and poses that simply could not be achieved with the normal ten and twenty man Stormtrooper sets. We start with a Rifleman, equipped with binoculars; he holds his rifle as her surveys his surroundings for enemy action. Standing next to him is the ‘Old man' a veteran officer, pistol at the ready and pointing at his objective, as all officers do ;)
Next we have a Grenadier, his SMG with grenade launcher slung over his shoulder as he leans back to throw a stick grenade into the enemy ranks, while a rifleman behind him provides covering fire.
We finish up this line up with a platoon sergeant, running into action, two SMG's blazing away ‘Neo style'. At his side a support specialist, carrying his Panzer Faust in a more traditional method rather than the RPG configuration, his SMG/grenade launcher tethered to his hip.
A couple more shots of the ‘Old man' in action.
The Grenadier in all his glory.
My homage to the Matrix, this sergeant displays the Hollywood run and gun Neo style.
Hate painting eyes? I do ;) The accessory set contains enough goggled heads to equip 10 troopers and four officers. Don't care for the RPG grip style of the anti-tank weapons? This conversion brings us a more old school configuration.Pardon the fish-eye lens effect
it makes the warhead look much larger than it is in the front view pic.
I really enjoyed building these, some of the parts were small and I had to take care with removing them from the sprue so they did not go scuttling across the table but all in all it was a simple job, everything fit as it should and even the little fiddly parts went together with no issues. I used a standard hobby clipper to remove the parts and a swipe from a sharp hobby knife to clean off the remnants of the sprue. Everything went together fast and easy with the use of Testors model cement (Stay away from superglue
the standard orange Testors cement works like a charm and will make a much better bond). Next up? I need to build out the mechanical MULE's that are included with this set. Enjoy! Mark |

Those are really nice
though I'm going to continue to hold out for the heavy troopers (for 15mm use). |

Oh, wow. Mulebots! Depending on how your sprues are made, you might want to make the mulebots available separately for the near-future gamers. The Army and Marines expect to be using BigDog-based mulebots by 2015. |

Those are beautiful butI am not creative enough to come up with poses like your photos show nor do I wish to spend the assembly time necessary to produce them. I wish you the best in your endeavor but I wonder how many others out there have the same feelings that I do. Al |

Beautiful work. I'm also of the opinion that I'd rather tell a story with the posing of figures rather than scribbling something on paper. That's pretty much the entire reason I prefer plastics over metal now. |

Hi Allen, The core box sets build with the same number of components as a spes-murheen, this set allows you to customize the core box sets. |

Wolfprophet, I like the modeling aspect of the hobby more than playing the games, so I tend to approach it with the same view. I could never get this complicated with little fiddly bits until I went plastic. |

Awesome. Dreamforge may be about to become a hallmark in scifi miniature gaming. The work you're putting on this line is splendid, the whole infantry range looking beautiful and the APCs are wonderful. I'm in the process of selling off my 40K armies to save money and space for the storm and heavy troopers and their vehicles. These little wonders of yours should be making a huge impact when they're fully available! |

So who's carrying these for sale? Or am I being particularly dense? |
Dogged | 15 Jan 2013 8:56 a.m. PST |
Wargames Factory is doing the tooling and they say they will release the kits. Which I am waiting for. |

I assume these guys come with enough helmeted heads for everybody to wear a helmet? What are the weapon options like? Far superior to the WGF shocktroops or the Defiance games marines, IMHO. |

This set is an expansion set, not required for the core box set but it adds all kinds of goodies and customization parts. The core set instructions insert can be seen here.
Cheers! Mark |

WOOT! This would be awesome for doing SF3D/Maschinenkrieger conversions! You could do battle suited types that would look exactly like the original SF3D models. Too cool! |
Delta Vee | 15 Jan 2013 12:45 p.m. PST |
do all the bodys have the gorgot on them? as im not too shure id want that many MPs. |
NoseGoblin | 15 Jan 2013 1:15 p.m. PST |
(SP) Yes, all share the same torso, so all have the gorget, although the gorget is not a Military Police badge for these troopers ;) |
billthecat | 15 Jan 2013 1:49 p.m. PST |
Assault rifles, SAWs, and RPGL
nice! I assume there are enough helmeted heads
? |
NoseGoblin | 15 Jan 2013 2:00 p.m. PST |
Yep, This set has helmets for all troopers. |

Kerberos Panzer Cops strike again! Very, VERY cool. |

A little better shot of the Panzerfaust (without the fish-eye effect)
|
Richard Gaulding | 15 Jan 2013 3:13 p.m. PST |
I really, really like the method done with the guns of having the grip on the hands and a separate rifle. There's going to be a lot of conversion potential in there, and the spare rifles will be useful for lots of things; I can already think of 15mm uses. Once again, I feel bad I missed out on the Kickstarter. I'll have to wait longer to order some :( |
Wolfprophet | 15 Jan 2013 8:41 p.m. PST |
Only thing I'm not terribly fond of is the Panzerfausts. I'd love a pack later on with parts for Panzerschrek teams. |
Cergorach | 16 Jan 2013 3:43 a.m. PST |
Now for the obvious question(s): When!?!? When can we expect the Crusaders to be shipped, when can we expect the infantry in stores, and what will they cost? |
Ping Pong | 16 Jan 2013 7:39 a.m. PST |
How do we order your products? |
kallman | 16 Jan 2013 1:02 p.m. PST |
I am looking forward to these and as Richard stated I was sorry I missed out on the Kickstarter. These guys will probably see action in some 28 mm Tomorrow's War games or as an alternative to Imperial Guard in 40K. |
Lobsterback | 17 Jan 2013 6:12 a.m. PST |
I see a lot of potential for these guys – Tomorrow's War or other SF. I like the Mule
