I recently purchased a couple of boxes of Armourfast Hanomags for my BGK games. On their website, Armourfast shows an apparent conversion to a radio equipped 251/3, but for the life of my I can't seem to find parts to replicate it. An aerial would be easy to create, but as far as a nice enough looking radio, I'm not as confident in my scratch building skills. I've checked SHQ, Sgts Mess, and others, but to no avail. Any recommendations?

The Italeri (ex Esci) Sdkfz 250/3 kit has the radio equipment that you need, although looking at how simple the radio set in the kit is, I think you could build your own easily enough. Photos of the sprues here:

The model has been issued with one-piece rubber band tracks, or fiddly link and length tracks, so mind which one you get in case you want to build the 250 as well.

I like the bed frame antennae in that kit. Oddly enough, on second look I DID find German Radios on SHQ's pricelist, but couldn't find them on the website! In any case I'm hoping they fit the bill. Has anyone had experience with these?

They paint up well dont they? Not bad kits at all, especially for the money they charge.

I held off getting my PzGren unit until PSC had their 251s out, with some of the promised extra conversion sprues…. also my painting backlog is now totally out of control post Xmas…..

I did get the Italeri Demag command vehicle. It wasn't unusual to mix a few specialist 250s (such as command vehs)and 251s in a unit, even in 1944.
