Anyone have some painted Blue Moon AWI 15/18mm they are willing to post? I would love to see them. |

I have one photo of AWI Hessian fusiliers that I have pressed into service as SYW Prussian fusiliers. link A regiment of AWI Hessian musketeers (again posing as SYW Prussian musketeers) will be rolling off the painting table in the next couple of days. Jon |

I just noticed this post from January 2013, and though I'd share a few photos. My summer project is painting up a large number of Blue Moon 15/18mm AWI. These are based on the Regimental Fire & Fury rules (3 figures per stand). I really like this range because of the good mix of figures you can get for the Americans, and the campaign-style look of the British. link link link link link link |

Bear a remarkable resemblance to the Sash & Saber range – same sculptor, I assume? |

SM, are you referring to Chris Hughes? I love his Sash & Saber ACW figures. I was not aware he was sculpting the Blue Moon/OG ranges. I hope it hasn't taken him away from sculpting more of his outstanding S&S figures, though. Thanks Redcoat55. Along with Eureka/AB's "15mm" figures, I really like this slightly larger (18mm) scale that Blue Moon has adopted. To me, it is a nice mid-way point between the smaller "true 15mm" (which I find almost too small for the kind of detailing I like to do) and the far larger 25/28mm figures. |

[/URL] These are from theirFIW range, but I think they would cross over no problem. |

Jeff965, a very fine painting job. You've definitely taken it to the next level. I think most of us would assume your Blue Moon 18mm figures are 28mm scale! I'm combining the FIW militia with AWI to get more figure variation. I'm also using the FIW mounted officers with some slight modifications as well as the French artillery and buildings. Of course, the Indians are also interchangeable. |

Minuteman76 thank you for the kind comments it's very much appreciated coming from a painter such as yourself. I looked at at your games in progress on your photobucket site and they are lovely like little moving dioramas, well done. The militia officer is in fact an "Old Glory" figure but I think he mixes in ok. I love Bluemoon 18s they are a pleasure to paint though I've only painted what you see above. I have a pack of French FIW militia unpainted and a long way down the priority list lol. |
