I've been asked various places – here, on my own blog, on other forums – which paints I use for Russian Civil War forces. It seems to be a common thing, so I finally did what I should have done months ago, and sat down to write up my basic Russian paint recipes as a blog post I can refer people to in the future!

Here it is: link

I use Reaper Master Series paints almost exclusively, so those of you with collections of GW/Vallejo/etc will still have to improvise, but hopefully this helps a bit.

I'll be adding more and better photos to that article in the near future as well, with luck. I realized while writing it that I have absolutely no photos of my White Russians, and there's new stuff on the painting table too.

Very nice little tutorial, thanks.

I particularly like the fact you kept your palette simple and yet it works.

Cheers

Excellent, thanks for posting that!

Glad people are enjoying the tutorial.

If someone has suggestions of suitable paints from lines other than Reaper, please hop over to my blog and add a comment there, or add it here and I'll edit the original post.
