Pretty much spelled out in my title, I am curious if the BP version Pike and Shotte rules cover the French Wars of Religion? I am working on armies for that set of wars and also looking for a suitable set of rules to game with. |

I believe they are intended for as early as The Italian Wars through the ECW, so about 1500 through 1650s. So to answer your question: yes. |

I think Hail Caesar! will work better for XVI century. Pike & Shotte are more ECW/TYW type of thing. |

Presumably the choice these days is principally between Pike & Shotte, FogR or DBR. There are others but I think most people would play one of these. I don't know the basing for Pike & Shotte but I think the other 2 are compatible so may give more flexibility against people you might play. |

The Perfect Captain has an excellent set of rules, Spanish Fury, specifically for the Wars of Religion. It is by far my favorite for the timeframe. It is a free download from here: link And here is the main page for Perfect Captain with all their miniatures games: link |

Pike and Shot does not care what basing you use, all you need to both sides use the same base width. Most people who use P&K use the DBx basing. |
