I finished the basing of the 4th Pennsylvania regiment this evening and here are some pictures of the end result:

I bet it isn't too late for you to get a dealer table at Cold Wars. I just sent my Cold Wars stuff in.

I can't predict anything about the weather though.

Yes, very nice looking. Who is the sculptor?

Nice job. Are you trying a different basing system? I seem to recall six figs per base in 2 ranks of 3.

I agree with Pictors Studio. You should get a dealers table at Cold Wars.

The sculptor is Richard Ansell, who also sculpts the Minden and Alban figure ranges.

I use a 1:10 ratio of figures to men so unit sizes can vary from as small as 10 figures to 40 (or more in some instances). I generally try to put 6 figures on a stand, but with firing line poses, I need a little more room so in this instance there are only 5 figures on the stand.

I could use the Peter Gilder system of assuming that each stand represents 6 figures, regardless of the number of figures on the stand, as an alternative. I use my own rules, so I guess that it does not really matter. evil grin

You know, it'd be really nice if you COULD make Cold Wars as a dealer.

Those are some beautiful figures…

Congratulations to DAF and Fife &Drum for winning "Best Historical Range of 2011" in the recent TMP poll. The F&D figures are wonderful and it was nice to see them recognized.

Thank you everyone for your support of Fife & Drum Miniatures in the recent poll. It is very much appreciated and a nice accomplishment for a new little company to finish ahead of the well known, well established miniatures companies.

We have grown to approximatley 100 figures and pieces of artillery equipment in the range, and there is much more ahead in 2013 and beyond.

These are great figures, I just wish my poor painting skills came close to what they deserve. Still even for me they are easy to work with.

Gentlemen:

Kudos to Jim Purky for what is probably the speediest service I've received ever for miniatures. Late last night I put in an order for several regiments of Continental Line, a battery of 4-lbers and some mounted officers. His invoice went out within an hour or two and the figures were posted this morning. As I said to him – WOW!!!

Not only are his figures the best in the period but Jimis an excellent businessman and an all-around decent guy.
