I am building the German 16th pioneer company from the Rapid Fire 2nd Edition rules (on page 13) and want to include the 251/7. I am using PSCs 251s and was going to build the bridging equipment myself out of plasticard rather than shell out for a new model. Does anyone know the dimensions of the equipment in 15mm? How long and wide are the bridges? Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

I have a couple of these in a pioneer platoon for my PBI force

picture

One is Skytrex, the other might be Quality Castings. The 'bridges' are the same size @ just under 4mm wide x 30mm long and 3mm thick at the crowning point in the middle of the piece …

Hope that helps … photos in due course I hope grin

Don't forget that the bridges were detachable & there are plenty of photos of 251/7s without them, having only the support pillars. One or two of those in the platoon might make your job easier.

Also I'd make one as a master & cast the rest, for speed & for reproducibility.

Thanks, the measurements are exactly what I was after Phil, and of course I will post up pictures when they are done! The Platoon only consists of a single 251/7, so it should be a pretty easy job to just build the bridges I need, but I may cast one, for use in the future! Thanks for the ideas, Etranger!

BTW, your Pioneer Platoon is amazing Phil!
