You could try Plastruct Spanish Tile Sheets in 1/48:

JTT also makes them and they are less expensive than Plastruct. Both are good. Plastruct is probably a little thicker plastic.

What about using corrugated cardboard sheets, cut into 1/2" strips and layed/glued on the roof like shingles. It give the impression of Spanish Tile. Paint it whatever color you like.

You can find the sheets in places like Michael's and Jo-Anne's.

One of the guys who builds models for Grand Manner (I'm sorry I can't recall a name or URL) uses those Hama bead things cut in half.

With all those commercially produced sheets of tiles, are they just images on flat card/plastic? Or are they 3d/embossed?

I need something simmilar for a 15mm project.

Cheers

Plastruct are great, embossed plastic. Just the ticket for 28mm Romans.

In the past I've made these from cut-up plastic drinking straws – but it will much easier to buy a pre-made sheet.

I use Evergreen, Plastruct, and JTT regularly on my different projects. I used a lot of JTT plastic stone sheets to cover my wharf and fortifications, and as my stone streets and figure basing in my Pirate Gallery. You can see the stone work in pics 1,32, and 33 and the streets throughout that gallery at warin15mm.com/Pirates.html
