Hi guys,

I did a simple review on the RPG released by Fantasy Flight Games:

Thanks for viewing : )

Wow, that intro adventure really is a carbon copy of Han Solo's storyline, isn't it? Trying to escape from a Hutt crime boss in Mos Shuuta in your YT-1300 Corellian freighter?!?

Got mixed feelings about this… hate to not get the latest SW RPG, but I have all the saga books and they haven't been broken out for the better part of a year.

Wonder how much sets of dice will run? Also wonder if conversion tables for regular dice would slow the game down / ruin the flavor.

Might get this starter – would make a decent one-night game if nothing else.

There is a dice rolling app available. I think it is around $5.00 USD.

The WEG D6 version still works fine for us. Not seeing anything in this new one that has me wanting to move.

Agreed. The WEG D6 version remains our favourite as well.

The Revised and Expanded edition is the best imho as it has all the mechanics and stuff neatly packed into one book.

This version is the basic, intro adventure mah….

Not liking, Fantasy Flight and the custom dice thing they have going on!! I don't mind using custom dice for the board games but I am getting a little peeved that they have started using "Custom Dice" in the RPG's.

Wasn't fer my club.
We tried to like it, but after about 10 sessions, we gave up and went back to SAGA edition and WEG ed.

Those dice were wonky and the whole 'you kinda succeed…' rules were too …goofy…?
I also wasn't thrilled on the combat either.

Better RPGs out there, IMO.

second edition WEG introduced the wild die which helped you 'flesh out' and roleplay the results of a dice roll…playing with the junior chronos over christmas, all sorts of fun when the wild die comes up '1'.

Hmmm, I think I'll stick to the other RPG rules already out there, and then just bolt on Mythic to help with the storyline, and plot twists.
