I'm looking to scratchbuild a waterline 77' Elco boat(PT41) but can't seem to find measured drawings with enough detail. I'll be building in 1/56th scale (28mm). Can anyone send me a scan? Thanks

Send an e-mail to me at ccooperATeagleDOTorg and I'll send you what I have.

At that scale, or close to it, you should be able to find some decent R/C plans, if you need more details.

I live an hour from PT-617, the only Elco boat on display in the world (according to them, anyway).

Let me know if you need photos.

Thanks TG, I'm now set for plans on my 77' Elco

You may want to save yourself some work and start with the 1/64th scale hull of Lindberg's PT-109. It's pretty close and scales out well. The upper deck can be used as a template. All you would need to do is carve the tapered superstructure and gun mounts.

Not being one for perfect detail I used the turrets of 1/48 TBF avengers for the gun turrets of the early 70's and 77's, although the 41 boat like 31-35 had the plexiglass turrets removed in Cavite. Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion Pyrate but I'm a sucker for punishment – I have do it my own way. I've been busy this week and have the hull roughed out. I decided to go with a hollow construction (time consuming) rather than carve the hull from one solid piece (heavy). We'll see if thats a waste of time. So far,the plans generously sent by Coopman are working great:
