Hello, I am looking for a Dark Age (1000-1100) mounted figure. The figure is armored with a chain mail hauberk, open faced helm, and metal arm vambrace. This would be similar to some Byzantine heavy cavalry but with all chainmail armor instead of scale armor. Similar to this picture in the catalog, but mounted. link I am wondering if any suitable figure can be found or greenstuff is the way to go. Thank you for any information. |

I can't think of any minis with a metal arm vambrace, most have either the short-sleeved or long-sleeved mail hauberk, some have scale and others gambeson. Although, I vaguely recollect that Gripping Beast may have done such a figure in their El Cid line

Eureka miniatures recently released a number of Dark Age cavalry in assorted dress, perhaps one of them might fit the bill? link I have seen them first hand, and they are certainly excellent. |

Have you looked on the Byzantine light Cavalry from Gripping Beast. Specially the Light Cavalry Command. Perhaps you have to add some greenstuff but these figures might be a start. |
