Today is the 5th. I have two orders in-one from December 19th and the other from the 28th. I am not ranting just gauging since their communication is light. They are just 3 platoons not $5,000 USD worth of stuff. I have not gotten any updates from them. Anyone waiting longer? I can wait. I am just asking around so I know what to expect. My order is from Texas and I am in Texas. I once waited 4 months for a delivery from them but that was from UK. |

I placed an order on November 21st and received it a few days before Christmas. Not ideal, but with some of the great sales they have had lately, a delay might be expected. |

Usually about a month. Placed one on the 23rd of Dec, so not worried yet. It seems a lot of times at least on my orders they have to wait on stock from the UK. |
Foot Slogger | 05 Jan 2013 12:19 p.m. PST |
Placed a couple of big orders on one of their 50% sales back on 23.11.2012. They have all arrived ( including out of stock pieces) around Christmas. |

I've placed 4 or 5 orders from them last year and every one was delivered within a week. If John doesn't have something in stock, he will ship you what he has, and then have the rest sent from the UK. I've seen too many horror stories about the UK end of BTD not to believe them. But, John in Texas. is as good as it gets. |

Despite being burned awhile back, I made order in late November and it arrived in about 2 weeks. Included was a short hand written thanks with the order as well. Not sure what going on in 2010 but I was happy after a 2 year avoidance of them. |

I placed three orders in 2012, all three came in within a reasonable amount of time. |

I'm still waiting for the order I placed with BTD at the end of December. Grelber |

Does it really matter? Their past behavior marks them as unscrupulous – remember when they were running fraudulent accounts on TMP? They've twice turned "deadbeat" as far as paying their advertising bill on TMP, which is why they're not allowed to advertise here any more. And I don't mean a few late payments – I mean that they go incommunicado until I give them enough bad publicity on the forums, then they finally pay up. Maybe the US branch is better, but the UK headquarters – watch out! |

They need to take a class in business ethics. |

A lot of people have run fraudulent accounts here. I'll continue to use them, like the figs and the services to ME has been fine. |

I tend to get 90% of the order in a few weeks but once in while they need to be reminded about back orders. Always got everything in the end. |

How about changing this discussion into two different topics. Like "How's BTD UK Doing? and "How's BTD America Doing? It's not fair to lump the two together as they are run by different people. I can't speak about the UK branch. I never had any dealings with them. But, I have ordered 5 times from the Texas site and had nothing but positive experiences. All of my orders were a couple of hundred dollars. And they were all ordered whenever they had a 50% off sale. John, the owner, was very eager to please. I probably bought about 600-800 figures from him without a hitch. I would hate to see his business ruined because of the guy in the UK. Just to be clear Mr. Editor, who was it that didn't pay the bills. Was it the UK branch or the Texas branch? Or both? |

Order outstanding in the UK from beginning of December. Plus, through the shenanigans of exchange rate manipulation they managed to charge me a couple of quid more on my credit card in dollars than the exchange rate gave in pounds, as quoted on the invoice. Oh and two emails gone unanswered. |

I would NEVER order from Black tree UK again. What a totally useless incompetent company.I have never come across another business so poorly run. I'm astonished they are still in business. |
Travellera | 06 Jan 2013 7:41 a.m. PST |
I agree with Tin Hat. They took my money twice without delivering. If I was a UK resident I would have talked to the police but its not worth the effort from abroad. Scum of the earth
:( |
Wolfprophet | 06 Jan 2013 11:33 a.m. PST |
I've never had an issue with them. Even during December, it took no more than 10 days for any of my orders from them to arrive. But, that is coming from the U.S. branch. So
. yeah

I'd heard they'd improved so I ordered in their sale on the 22nd November. About 150 WWII infantry – nothing spectacular or unusual – all soviet infantry ad a couple of scouts / snipers Seen Nothing. Heard Nothing. Wouldn't bother me except I Have a regular customer waiting for me to paint some of them for him. Called about a dozen times and finally got a response last friday – "you need to talk to X. Unfortunately X is ill. Hopefully he'll be able to contact you early next week." We wait

Speaking strictly for BTD USA, I ordered from them and had good experience. The product arrived in a little over a week. This was about 6 months ago. |

I've ordered from BTD USA several times last year, and received the mini's promptly, including a back-order which was shipped to me from the UK! |
John Leahy | 06 Jan 2013 11:38 p.m. PST |
Yeah, I ordered from the US branch too. No issues at all. Quick service and a small defect was quickly corrected. I'd order again buyt only from the US. Thanks, John |

UK office not answering emails and not answering the phone. Not amused. |

I ordered from BTD USA twice last year and both time had my figures in less than two weeks. No problem at all with them. |

as an update – my order has now arrived (ordered 22nd november). However, the main wedge of the order – the stalingrad infantry army pack (136 foot) wasn't. That is, mine is the stalingrade infantry army pack (132 foot) – I'm missing some of the specialist teams. Email Sent. Again, we wait! |
TuffSkull | 09 Jan 2013 3:48 p.m. PST |
but not waiting long this time – email reply, promise of correction asap! fingers crossed! |
TuffSkull | 13 Jan 2013 8:10 a.m. PST |
and indeed the replacements arrived yesterday, so the corrections went through nice and fast. I do think they were simply hit by volume of orders at a time when they were staff down to illness. Not impressed with the initial speed of delivery, but I would order again for anything I dont have to have asap. |
Yourbitterpill | 17 Jan 2013 6:12 p.m. PST |
It's coming up on 3 weeks since I've ordered and my only response from them was over a week ago that they were "working on backorders" with no ETA for when I can expect my order. Sent off another inquiry and if I don't hear back within another week, I'm filing a chargeback. Not at all happy with their customer service at this point. |
