Anybody had wargame that battle?

"In the year of our Lord 684 Ecgfrith, king of the Northumbrians, sent an army to Ireland under hisdux Berht, who wretchedly devastated aharmless race that had always been most friendly to the English, andhis hostile bands spared neither churches nor monasteries. Theislanders resisted force with force so far as they were able, imploring the merciful aid of God and invoking His vengeance with unceasingimprecations. And although those who curse cannot inherit the kingdomof God, yet one may believe that those who were justly cursed for their wickednessquicklysufferedthepenaltyoftheirguiltattheavenginghandof God. Indeed the very next year the king rashly took an army to ravagethe land of the Picts, against the urgent advice of his friends andparticularly of Cuthbert, of blessed memory, who had recently beenmade a bishop. The enemy feigned flight and lured the king intosome narrow passes in the midst of inaccessible mountains; there he was killed with the greater part of the forces he had taken with him, inthe fortieth year of his age, the fifteenth year of his reign on the twentiethof May.
