Has anyone considered using the Blue Moon "Old West" buildings (see link) for a "fight through town" type Civil War scenario (e.g. Fredericksburg, Gettysburg)? I'm wondering whether these buildings are more of a late 19th century architectural style rather than mid-19th century. Also, are these buildings built to match the "larger 15mm" (a.k.a. 18mm) scale of Blue Moon/Old Glory miniatures? |

They are for the larger 18mm figures, so they come in around 1:87 (HO scale) instead of 1:100 (true 15mm). I did the math on these myself. They will work fine for ACW. |

The diorama looks great! I love to see 15s (18s) presented with the look and interest value generally reserved for the larger scales. Richard |

For frame buildings, most "western" buildings will work for ACW. But, most decent size towns will have brick buildings. This was definitely true in Fredericksburg, and even in Gettysburg. Try googling in this fashion: Historical buildings, Fredericksburg, Va, pictures. In eastern places like Fredericksburg, many buildings dated back to the 18th century (and still do!), so mixing in some simple AWI-era buildings would not be inappropriate. |

Pan Marek is correct. Most homes and businesses in Gettysburg were 2 level brick buildings. You could use the same 2 level brick building to make most of the blocks around the center square of Gettysburg and just paint them slightly different. Although there are some very distinct Gettysburg town buildings also. |

Maybe some of the buildings from Blue Moon's Horror Range (London,Sleepy Hollow) will work. link or one of these from the HO series link |
